I remember her little button nose, her olive skin, and how a few days after I had her, we noticed her cafe au lait birthmark on her arm. I thought it was a bruise at first!
Here she is in a crocheted hat/jacket that my Aunt Ella had made for my Mom when she was a baby! I don't know if you remember, but Aunt Ella is the one who suggested that my Mom adopt me. So, my Mom wore this outfit, I wore it, and Madison wore it. Well, we put it on her just for this picture. =)I guess that's why I have such a special place in my heart for Veronica's crocheted hats.........they really are priceless treasures that will be handed down from generation to generation.
Madison always sucked her left thumb and only her left one. She did that all the way until she started preschool. She's left-handed too.
Here she is at 2, dressed up as Raggedy Ann for Halloween. So cute!!
As I was looking through old pictures, I ran across so many of her on my Mom's kitchen counter! That was always her favorite place. She loved to sit up there and help my Mom cook. She still loves food, cooking, baking and tells me she wants to be a chef one day. It is also amazing to me how much Lily looks like her.
1st Day of Kindergarten
2nd gradeIt's amazing how much her face has changed just from one year ago! She looks so much more grown-up now.
Happy 9th Birthday, Madison Ashley! I love you so much!!

Kristin, what a beautiful tribute to your daughter. I loved all the photos. Scout has a birthmark too that I did not notice until he was about a week old. It's on the back of his left hip. The photos were great - and she has changed A LOT in one year. I like the one of her with the microphone. I have a few of me like this.
I'm glad she had a great birthday. And, congrats to you, mama, for 9 years!
Happy Birthday beautiful girl!
