There were several papers we had to fill out, then her teacher went over a few key things with us. We are allowed to walk her to her classroom the first week, but after that we are supposed to just drop her off. They have little signs in the halls pointing to which way to go.....in her case, it's a sign of a teddy bear since she's in the bears pod. When we were finished doing what we needed to do on Thursday, Lily wasn't ready to leave. She wanted to stay and go look at everything in her classroom. I thought that was a great sign and she said that she is so excited to see her teacher again and go to school tomorrow!
I know it's going to be a little rough getting up so early again tomorrow, but I'm sure they'll adjust quickly. I might be the one who takes getting up early the hardest......I just don't have much energy these days! Ha!
It's so funny......I've never been the kind of mom to get emotional when my girls went to Kindergarten. I knew Madison would be fine. Kaylee, I was a little more concerned about because she was so quiet like Lily is, but she has really blossomed and is now my little social butterfly. But, Lily is my baby and let's just say I'll feel much better once I hear all about her day tomorrow afternoon! :) I know she's going to be just fine, but for some reason I just can't believe she's old enough to go to Kindergarten already!
I noticed when the kids were coloring their bear pictures Thursday that several of them wrote their last names too, so I've been working with Lily on spelling hers. We have the MYE down so far. Ha! I wish I had taken a picture of her bear picture too. Lots of kids colored their bear all brown.....Lily's was a rainbow of colors. Love that!
My big girls are really excited to go back to school and see their friends again. I am praying they all have a great day! And I'm praying that it doesn't take 3 hours to pick them all up. LOL!

What a fun time!! Molly knows how to spell her name and when she writes it she doesn't connect the "M" so it's really funny! I am sure Lily will love her class and teacher! I am more emotional now that it's getting closer to really dropping Molly off!! What are you going to do all day?! I would nap and watch Y&R!!
how exciting! I'm sure her first day will go really well! and you will be just fine. :)
Coloring a rainbow bear sounds like my girl. How funny. Some march to their own beat! And I have to admit, I was a little jealous listening to all the other mothers talking about their kids teachers today. I do actually miss the excitement of the first day of school:( Enjoy!
Yay for Firsts Hoping everything goes well. I'm a emotional Mom. I cry so easy.
I bet you're enjoying the quiet of the day when all three are gone! I hope you can get in a nap here and there!
P.S. Love your new blog header. Very cute!
