Lily

Yesterday, we were driving to the post office to mail some packages and the word "cancer" came up and Lily wanted to know what cancer was. So, I explained to her that sometimes it is treatable and sometimes it is not, and in those cases, you go to Heaven. After hearing that, she said excitedly, "Well at least you get to go to Heaven!" I thought that was so cute.

Today, we were in the car on our way to drop them off with Grandma so they could go swimming, and Kaylee drew a picture and she was saying how she needed to work on this one part to make it look better. Then, Lily said, "Well at least you tried your best!" Ha!

I love it when they say things like that when they're little. It gives you a little glimpse into the way their little minds work. :)

Very cute. That would bring a giant smile to my face!

Tonight during dinner out of the blue Evan says "I love you mommy.", it was so cute. I'll never get tired of hearing that!

How sweet! I've been explaining similar things to the girls lately and some topics are tough. For example, I was explaining what "divorce" is to Alyssa when I was telling her that Grandpa and Grandma used to be married but they aren't anymore. Some topics are tricky but I love how their little minds work to figure things out and see the positive in even the things that aren't so positive.

Lily is sure growing! Is she getting excited about her birthday already?

It does give us a little glimpse, and then we hope that their mind continues to work in that generous and loving way! My seven year old says the cutest stuff, and I just hope it continues on and on and on...Your daughter is adorable by the way!

Kids just understand how to resolve things in life. I love Lily's precious outlook. :)
