25 Week Update!

I know I promised a picture, but I totally forgot to take one yesterday and I'm still in my PJ's so far today. LOL! Yesterday was my monthly check-up and everything seems to be going great. They had me drink that yucky orange drink and then I had to wait around for an hour so they could draw my blood to send to the lab for the glucose screening. I guess they will let me know if anything is wrong once they get the results, but I expect everything to be fine.

My appointment was at 9 and I finally made it out of there at 10:30. After that, I went to buy groceries. I hadn't eaten all day, but I was fine, and then all of sudden in the middle of shopping, I started sweating. It was so strange. I wasn't hot; I just started sweating all over and then I began to feel weak and jittery. Luckily, I was almost ready to check out anyways. It was very strange, but maybe it was just because I hadn't eaten and it was noon. So, I left there and got some lunch and felt much better. Maybe it was my body trying to get rid of that yucky orange drink. Ha!

I had sent the girls to work with Morgan so that I could go to my appointment. Morgan's mom took them to her house and they had a fun day of swimming and spending time with her. I didn't know I was going to have to stay for that glucose test, so it worked out great that we had planned for them to do that already. After lunch, I headed back out to run some errands and shop for some birthday presents for upcoming parties. And I was able to schedule Lily's 5th birthday party at the local bouncy house place too. This will be the first party we haven't had at home for any of our girls and I love that it is so stress-free and will be much more affordable in the long run too! And I think she'll have lots of fun.

By the time I finished all of that, it was 5pm and time to pick up the girls. Lily has been doing pretty well on sleeping in her bed. She still wanders into our room several times a night, but she doesn't protest when we walk her right back to her bed. Morgan has been letting her get in bed with us early in the morning the past few days, but it's really not a big deal. Last night, I was sitting here around midnight in the living room and I heard a big thud in her room. I went to check on her and she was sitting straight up in her bed, but sound asleep! I guess she had fallen over and bumped her head on the wall? Silly girl! I think she's a bit of a sleep walker, because most of the time when she gets out of bed, she has no clue she's doing it. Madison used to be the same way.

Anyways, here's my 25 week update! I can't believe it's getting so close to the end. These last few weeks are probably going to fly by too. Lily, Madison and I all have August birthdays and Morgan's is September 1st. Our 12th anniversary is coming up in September too. Then, there's school and dance starting up again and Morgan will be taking classes too. We haven't done a whole lot this summer, but we needed a break and I'm sure we'll be so glad we took one once we get so busy again!

Pregnancy Highlights:

How far along: 25 weeks

Size of baby: about 14 inches long

Total weight gain/loss: +7 pounds

Maternity clothes: Of course!

Gender: It's a BOY.......Matthew William!! :)

Movement: I'm afraid this little boy is going to be a night owl. He loves to come alive at night!

Sleep: I haven't been sleeping very well. I can't seem to fall asleep until at least 1 or 2am. But, it's been a little better the past few nights, since we've been working with Lily on sleeping in her own bed.

What I miss: Sleeping soundly.

Cravings: Nothing special lately. I've been wanting more sweets though, so I'm trying not to go too crazy on that!

Symptoms: I've been feeling a little more tired lately and having heartburn at night.

Best moment this week: Morgan was finally able to feel the baby move recently!

=( Giving you a frownie face for no pic...but only because you are such a super cute expecting mama! Glad that all is going well. Hope you can get some sleep soon!

I wanted to see a pic, too! Glad you are doing well - I'll bet that weird feeling in the store was your body adjusting your sugar level from that orange drink.
You have mentioned before the fear you had of going to the doctor. I'm so glad that you seem to have overcome that! The Lord is good, isn't he?

Ok...we will need a picture soon though. (:>)

That shaky, sweaty thing is not good...but I do think it was because you hadn't eaten..and then they gave you that sugary orange stuff.

Glad you felt fine after eating. And that you were able to continue with your errands honey.

Yes, you have a lot of Birthdays one after another. We have a lot of summer birthdays too. We just had Silas' and Julia's and today is Harrison's and tomorrow is Lonna's. Then mine and then William's and Jonas'. Then Jared's. And many more in the Autumn. Fun!

Glad the girls had fun swimming at Grandma's. That's great that it all worked out.

Love ya!
