Debbie Downer Post!

Well, Spring Break was kind of a downer around here, but I guess it's good that the girls got sick this week, instead of having to miss a bunch of days of school. Madison's ear is feeling so much better, she finished her medicine they gave her tonight, and she's doing well. Kaylee is feeling much better too, with the UTI.....she never had fever, so I'm just going to continue to monitor her. Kaylee and Lily both have coughs, but I really think it's because of allergies and the fact that the weather can't decide what it wants to do around here! They did play outside for a long time today, so I was glad about that.

Unfortunately, it was just as well that we didn't really get to do anything these past few days because I have not been feeling that great. I have just had this constant anxious feeling, been extremely tired, and a little nauseous. :( Luckily, I am very fortunate to not really be a throwing up kind of girl. I'm sure it's all due to hormones. Tonight, the "I'm so hungry if I don't get something to eat right now I'm going to die" feeling kicked in. Crazy!!

I am really ready to move and be done with this whole thing. I know how extremely blessed we are, but I'm just being honest. I feel like everything is up in the air, just like it was when my Mom died. We don't know when we're moving, when our house will sell, how we're going to afford a new baby and two mortgages, where we're going to put the baby, how I'm going to get through all of these appointments, and I just don't do well with unknowns at all. I know that even if we end up in financial ruin from this, the Lord will provide. They say to think of the worst possible case scenario and that would be one of them. How can I not trust the Lord though when I prayed that he would close the door if this wasn't the right decision? We didn't want to move because we wanted more.....we are moving to simplify and I just know without a doubt that this is where our family is supposed to be.

I contacted our realtor this weekend and explained to her how imperative it is that we sell this house soon. I told her that I don't care what we have to do, but when we get someone who is interested, we have to make sure we get an offer. We had a very interested couple who came to our open house. They even called to see how much our light bills ran, etc. Then we never heard and I asked her if she followed up and she hadn't. :( She said that all the agents thought the upstairs was too big and it only has one bathroom. Ugh. We are selling our house for what most houses 1000 sq ft less would sell for in this area. The solution is always to lower the price again. I feel like I'm being asked to give away our house and I know the market is not that great, but I saw two houses that are for sale are pending now, and we would have dropped our price to meet the price of those houses and the people would have gotten twice the house for the same price. I feel like we should put it "For Sale by Owner" because I'm getting on facebook listing it just to get it out there! And I've already had just as many inquiries from that as I've had showings.

We are doing another open house for the public, I guess, but not until after we move. I just cannot handle getting it ready again for something like that. It is just too hard to get it spotless and then keep it that way with everything else going on.

They were supposed to install the kitchen cabinets this weekend, but had to postpone until tomorrow, which is fine because it really doesn't make a difference in our schedule anyways. I think our mantle is supposed to arrive tomorrow too, which will be exciting to see.

Sorry to be a Debbie Downer! I am so blessed and I hate to complain, but this is just real life and sometimes we deal with things that we just need to be able to get out. I know that everything will work out and I know that no matter what happens, the Lord will be there. I'm looking forward to moving, simplifying, getting back to church on a regular basis, and getting past the first trimester. Haha! The next 2 months are going to be super busy anyways, with moving, dance competition and recital, and end of school activities. Speaking of moving, I haven't packed a thing and don't really plan to, other than my pictures on the wall. I just plan to take one room at a time, put everything in a big tote, and drive it over to the new house and unload it, and then go back for more. We'll see how well that plan works out. LOL!

Thanks again so much for praying for the girls and just for being here to listen! Hope you all have a great week!!

I can relate to a lot of this. When we made the big move to Nevada. I became pregnant & we were still staying with his sister which was hard. I lost the baby. Then after we got our place I became pregnant with Carly. But the one thing I can remember my husband saying was God will provide or we wouldn't have been blessed. Don't worry in the end it will work out. I know it's tough at times but I'm praying for you.
Take care & {{Hugs}}
Hope everyone gets better soon.

I think anyone who's lived can relate. I also think you've got the right ideas, just gotta put them all into action. And knowing that God has all this worked out already should make anyone calm. Notice I said "should". Hehe!! Hope you have a great week!

So glad that the girls are feeling better! I hate that y'all are having to stress and worry over the house and over issues! I hope that y'all find a buyer soon!

I love the colors the girls choose! Your new house is going to be just beautiful! If this little one turns out to be a boy, you might just end up having a blue closet in one of those pink or purple rooms! HA! Everything will work out. God always has a plan and while we may not see or understand it yet, it's for the best!!

Ummm, hi, I'm Bethany, and I think you just crawled into my brain and wrote out my thoughts on the house stuff! We close on our new house Wednesday and haven't sold our home. As of Friday, we are renting it to a couple for 2 years. Scary to think of having a rental, but the opportunities are good. And it's better than an empty house, I hope. Regardless, I firmly believe if God paved the way for y'all to build, He will pave the way for the move, the sale of your house, etc. And He will help you figure out room for Baby! :) Hang in there! Lifting you up in prayer!

So sorry I'm late in reading this post! I haven't opened up the blog in days.

I really, really hope that you'll get a solution for your house and soon! I'm learning so much these days what it means to have faith and put it into action. It's one of the hardest things I've ever had to do.

Although we're both going through different things, they are both so similar. I know the Lord didn't bring us this far to leave us. He is faithful and we just have to keep putting our full faith and trust in Him! Love you!

You have a lot going on right now, girl. It's understandable to feel overwhelmed and discouraged. Praying for you as you try to juggle all that's going on and keep yourself healthy and rested for your sake and for your little one.

Love to you...
