Please Pray!

I spoke to my Aunt Barbara this morning and she would love for our prayers for her unborn grandson. Her daughter-in-law Malena is due in the middle of June with her first son. She went for her routine appointment and the Doctor said she had too much amniotic fluid. Upon further testing, they found that the baby is just not doing well at all. His organs are way enlarged for his size and his limbs don't appear to be growing as expected.

Earlier in her pregnancy, she did test positive that it is possible that her son may have Down's Syndrome, but other than that, they felt everything was progressing normally. So, this really came out of the blue for them. The Doctor told them that this may be a genetic abnormality or it may be a virus. They did an amniocentisis yesterday and are awaiting the results, but the Doctors are not giving them much hope at all. It is devestating, to say the least, but we know that nothing is too big for our God to handle and that with Him, all things are possible!

Malena told my Aunt Barbara that she has already made peace with whatever the Lord decides and that she knows that her son's life has purpose. We have all witnessed firsthand the miracles that can happen when us bloggers gather together in the name of the Lord in prayer, so I would be forever grateful if you all would keep Malena and her son in your prayers. I think they are planning to name him Zachary William.

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. Psalm 139:13-16

I will be in prayer for Malena her unborn baby and all who will be involved. It sounds like she has the right attitude towards it all, but it's so hard to hear news like that and my heart goes out to her and all the family. I will be in prayer for them in the days ahead. Keep us updated okay.
Love,
Lynnette

I'm praying Kristin...that God's will would be done. He's been teaching me lately that in any circumstance the best prayer I can ask is that His will would be done and that He would give me (or the person I'm praying for) the grace and strength to accept His will.

I agree with Veronica - this is a BEAUTIFUL piece of scripture. My cousin (who's not saved, by the way...) reminded me of how truly awesome HIS hand is in creating life when she commented about my ultrasound pictures. She said, "It's seriously unbelievable that God can create something so amazing!" SO true!

I will be praying. Love his name. Trevor's middle name is William and we considered the name Zachary for Tyler. It will be an easy name for me to remember to be praying for.

The post made me cry...I love that verse.

Oh no! I feel for the parents and everyone else involved in their lives. It is wonderful though that she has left it in God's hands. I will definitely say a prayer for them.

I will absolutely pray for Malena, the baby, and the entire family. I pray, in Jesus' name, healing for them all and comfort as well. I pray that the doctors will be guided by God and will take care of them. If we have learned anything from being bloggers, we have learned from all those stories of babies in the NICU that they are all in God's hands and He can do anything, like you said.

Oh, Kristin, I will be praying for Malena and her little baby. God knows the plans he has for this little one and they are plans to give him hope and a bright future! I will pray for his little family, too, that they will be strengthened and that the peace of Jesus will rule in their hearts and minds!

I'm grabbing your button!
