They got our wood floor put in yesterday. I tried to take a picture so you can see how it matches our kitchen cabinets. Of course, everything is so dirty, but we'll get it all cleaned up soon. Carpet is going in on Friday and then we're just about done! Yeah!

Today, I went to eat lunch at school with Kaylee. She earned 100 A/R points for reading and the prize is a t-shirt, so I went up there to see her get that.
Here she is with her principal, after he called her up there to get her prize. She was the only one who got one today, so they cheered so loudly for her and let me tell you, she LOVED that! Ha!
Madison's class took a field trip to Texas A&M University today. They take the two GT classes there every year. I was kind of nervous about it, and actually had to convince her Daddy to let her go, since it's almost 3 hours away. Ha! But, I knew it would be such a great experience for her and if she is going to go away for college, that would be a great one for her to go to! They let them take their cell phones, so she let me know when she got there, and off and on throughout the day she would send me messages, and it really came in handy once she got closer to home, so I could make sure and be there when they got back. They had to leave at 6:45 this morning and got back at 6:15, so it was a long day, but she had so much fun. They also toured the George Bush Presidential Library. Goodness gracious.......just a preview of what this Momma is going to go through in the years to come. Now that I'm a Mom, I cannot believe my Mom let me do half the things she did when I was growing up! Haha! I'm thinking 18 is WAY too young to move away!!!!

Love the floors! They look FANTASTIC!
What a smart little girl! How proud you must be!
You sure have talented kids. I am positive they have smart parents that they take after. (:>)
What a wonderful day for Madi and Kaylee!
And like Beth said....you must be so proud!
Love, Momma
Yay for Kaylee! with Autumn just being four I am terrified for the future. I thought my parents were strict on me, we will have these girls on lockdown! HA!
I am glad Madison really had a great time. I know you are so proud of all of your girls!
I can see why you'd think 18 is way too young for them to move! That's only like what, 7 more years for Madi? Crazy!!!
I love the way the floor came out and I think that pic of you and Kaylee is adorable! Tell her good job from Aunt Ver and I think that's so neat that Madison got to go on that trip!
Your house is just gorgeous. I love all the rich darker colors!
How exciting for Madison to go somewhere fun for a day! I'm totally with you on how our parents let us do the things we were allowed to do! haha! Evan's never going to be out of my sight! haha!
I say that all the time about my parents letting me date at 14. What in the world were they thinking! I am the youngest so I guess they were wore down by then? I don't know but geez!
Pretty floors!

Hey! How have you been?
I know how you felt! My son went 3 hours away to Atlanta with his gifted class at the beginning of the year for an overnight trip and I was terrified! Oh and the floors are beee-u-tee-ful. are they mahogany?
Yay for 100 AR points and love the floors...gorgeous! You are right...18 is too young...says the woman whose son is 17. ;)
