Happy 10th Birthday, Madison!!!

Today is Madison's official 10th birthday! Madison is such a beautiful girl, inside and out. She is kind, smart, funny, and inventive. She loves to dance, sing, write, and loves fashion. And although she probably would say she doesn't like it, she is excellent in math, which is a great skill to have! It has been so much fun to watch her grow and change over the past 10 years!

I thought I would share some pictures of when she was a baby. I don't get to share baby pics of her often, because they have to be scanned in. It's amazing how much technology has changed in the past 10 years!!

Here's Madison in her carseat when we first brought her home from the hospital.
1st Birthday!!
She had a Winnie the Pooh party. My Mom made her dress.
She always sucked her thumb, and only her left thumb. She is left-handed now too.
I love this picture. This was at my Mom's house and she always loved to sit on Meme's counter and "help" her cook. To this day, she loves everything about cooking and food. There are so many subtle things I see in her that I know she got from my Mom. She was with my Mom every single day, from age 1 - 4. My Mom was left-handed too. And every time Madison talks my ear off, I laugh a little inside because my Mom was the same exact way! And anyone who knows me, knows that I am not talkative at all :)
I have always loved this picture. This is my very best friend, Jennifer, and Madison.
2nd Birthday.
Elmo party. I made her cake :)
She got those dress-up shoes she was wearing that day for one of her presents and she was SO funny, running around in them. You can tell her face is all red and hot.
And just for fun, here is one of me on my 2nd Birthday. This was the first birthday I got to celebrate with my Mom and Dad, since I was adopted at 13 months.
Happy Birthday, Madison!!! You've always been my little buddy, my little motherly helper, my independent thinker, and a little version of me. But, I want you to know that you were uniquely made by God for a specific reason and purpose. There are no limits to where His plan will lead you! You told me the other day that you didn't really care what everyone else was wearing, that you just liked having your own style. You said "you know, I just like to be me." I pray that you will always love being yourself, because just like that song says, "There could never be a more beautiful you!!!" I love you, Angel!

Happy Birthday Miss Madison! What a sweet post - thanks for sharing all the photos, Kristin! Ten years already? I don't want to imagine my little ones that grown up. ;)

Wow you two look just alike in your 2nd birthday photos...and with both of you sitting on the table like that. It's amazing!

She is "your little mini me" for sure!

What a blessing to have such a wonderful daughter who knows who she is... and who is content with that.

(Kristin, Do you really not talk very much?...I always pictured you as being energetic and talkative!) Are you more of the serious type?

I am quiet and shy in crowds,..and more serious than I am goofy... but I talk a lot when I am in my comfort zone with the people that I know real well...or in a one-on- one situation.

I don't like to talk on the phone very much though...how about you?

Ok...Enough for now...I guess I will go on to bed....cuz I am tired.

Blessings in the year ahead for sweet Madison!
