I am finally finding a chance to link up with Jenilee's Wednesday's Walk Down Memory Lane today! Lately, I've seen a few of my blog friends post high school pictures and thought it would be fun to get mine out and take a look again. If nothing else, it sure gives me motivation to stick with my eating healthier thing. Ha!
Most of these were from my Senior pictures photo session. There was a lady back then in our town that owned a beauty shop/photography studio. My Mom had been going to her beauty shop for years, and we didn't really have money for a fancy photo session, so my Mom asked her if she'd be willing to trade some of my formal dresses for a photo session. She liked doing that because she would use the formals for girls to wear in their pictures. It worked perfectly!
This was the big thing to do in Sr. pics back then. Grab all your high school memorabilia and stick it all on a ladder. LOL!

Gotta love the fake tree/business woman look. Haha!
I never saw my senior picture that they took for the yearbook. A whole section of us that took pictures in a row never made it into the senior yearbook. Evidently, they left out about 20 of us. I don't know if they lost them, or what, but I was not happy when I got my senior yearbook and my photo wasn't in there! I was in the yearbook, but not under the senior photos section.
I felt like a big nerd taking this photo, but it did turn out kind of cute, I guess.
My Drum & Bugle Commander picture for the Lee Brigadiers. I was kind of aggravated that she used a white background because my uniform blended in with it. You can barely see the feathers on my hat.
When Prom rolled around for us Brig girls, it was no big deal because in Brig, we had formals every year. So getting dressed up like that was no big deal for us. It was always so much fun to figure out who to ask each year and get to pick out a dress and get all fixed up. This was our Senior year. Of course, that's my best buddy Jennifer on the left. Sadly, Shannon (in the black) passed away a few years ago. That's me in the blue. I borrowed that dress from a friend who was a year older than me. And that's Heather on the right........she is the librarian at Kaylee's school now!
Okay, it looks like I was having a really bad hair day this day! This was the homecoming dance our senior year. Me and my buddy :) My Mom made that dress. You can tell we marched outside in the sun all the time for Brig, because you can see my tan lines on my feet.......this was just not a great look I had going on!! I think too, that I was all self-conscious because my Mom had ironed my dress and it left a tiny iron print on the back. I doubt anyone noticed, but I knew!
I put this one in here only because everyone's always asking us where the girls get their curly hair from. I have naturally wavy hair and so does Morgan. I just blow dry mine straight and he keeps his shaved, so you can't tell.
I cropped my date out of this picture. I think this was my Jr. year homecoming picture. Look how skinny I was! This will be my motivation to stick to my healthy eating!
And here's my graduation photo. I can't believe that was 16 years ago!! I was only 17. Half my life ago and it really seems like only a few years ago. Morgan and I were talking about this the other day.....how come the first half of our lives seemed to take forever and the second half seems like it went by with lightning speed? Life just passes by and does not stop for anyone, so we have to make sure to stop and treasure every moment!!

I remember all these types of pictures!! The Senior portraits - prom pictures - all that stuff! What a fun memory!
I really loved looking at these pictures. They don't look much different then mine. Rob graduated in 94 and I was in 97. I have the same lader pictures with all my rewards on it. My eyebrows look all funky and I had some dumb looks going on. Back them we thought we knew fashion. Funny how it all changes. I think you look great and I like your curly hair. Your girls have the same, and tell them how much people spend to get there hair like that. Thanks for thinking of Drew, I am hanging in there, he is refusing to take his Tylenol. Last night he was up half the night crabby as can be. I don't know if it was a reaction to the Tylenol with Codine or what but he was so restless and agitated. I will talk to you soon buddy.
you are so cute!!!! I love all these pictures ... so pretty!!!
The ladder one is really cool! :)
Fun pictures! You were too cute!
Don't you love looking down memory lane and realize how far you've come?
I am not sure I want to remember hs most days. We only live across town from my hs. I remember those ladders, man we where geeks. Good times though!
Kristin you were...and are...so beautiful! I enjoyed seeing all these pictures. I felt like I was there with you looking through old picture albums. Thanks, that was fun!
I know what you mean, that when we are young time goes so slow and as we get older it zooms by. I feel the same way.
Your natural curly hair is lovely. Lynnette's is naturaly curly too...you two really could be sisters. (:>)
Glad you did Wednesday's Walk!

Love the pictures! What a cool idea! I am SO jealous of your hair!! I don't even want to talk about how many horrific perms I had growing up trying to get hair like that!! :)
LOVED LOVED LOVED this post. The photos were so fun and you were (and still are) beautiful. My goodness. I had awkward moments in high school and my photos will not make it onto my blog for that reason :o) Seriously - you are amazingly beautiful. And I LOVE your hair. Coming from a blonde with fine, straight hair - I would enjoy yours for a while :o) So glad you posted this.
I loved seeing all these beautiful pics of you! Your hair is just gorgeous! And I can't believe they forgot to put your pic in with the senior pictures!! Not fair!
