Softball Cutie!

Last night was Kaylee's first softball game. Her team color is grey this year.
I wanted to make her some bows, but had a hard time finding grey ribbon! I had to just work with what I could find. I got excited when I actually found a grey and black boa (or fluffy stuff as I like to call it).
She struck out her first time at bat and cried, of course. :(
Here's a cute video of her 2nd time to bat. She got a hit.......Yay!

When she was coming to home to score, the batter's ball landed right by home plate so they got her out. She cried again. Bless her heart......she's so sensitive, no matter how much we tell her it's okay and how proud we are of her and that those things just happen.
She was happy again after the game, when she saw her best friend (who's game was after hers) and got her snack/drink.
Because softball season is here, and Spring Break is coming up, our small group bible study has decided to take the month of March off. I am really bummed about that. Every week that we don't go to bible study, I can definitely tell a difference. Going to church for one hour a week is just not enough. I don't want to get to a point where I get used to placing everything else ahead of church again, because you miss a few days, and then before you know it, you're not going at all and making excuses for why everything else is more important. I think I will just see if I can find some online studies or a DVD study that we can do on our own.......anyone have a favorite one that you could recommend? Or favorite books even?

AWE! She looks so cute and those bows turned out absolutely adorable! That stinks that she didn't make it all the way home. Poor little girl, I know it just breaks your heart to see here cry! There's always next time though!

Bless her heart! She is such a beautiful little girl!

Those bows are so cute!

On the church/bible study note...I know what you mean. I committed this year to not miss going to church but I've already missed twice because we've been sick and two growth group times because Eli was sick. I can see and feel the difference. What I do at home when these situations arise is have a bible time with my kids...well, more with Isabel. We pray and listen to music and sing out loud. I also read. I don't have any suggestions on bible study material but the one book I got for my birthday is great! Completely His...

Awww! Look at her. One day in Paris and the next day a softball player. Do they play softball in Paris? LOL
Anyway she is just so cute no matter what!!! Loved watching her hit that ball. I am always so nervous for every kid that plays ball when they are up to bat. I know that they do not want to fail and are so excited when they get a good hit. And I know how nerve wracking it is to be a momma watching it all go on in her baby's heart. Josiah has played ball for 10 years and it is not any easier to watch him now than it was when he was 6. :) I love to watch him have fun and be happy playing though.

By the way, I know of a good Bible study that you might like to try and find. I think you can get it on Amazon. It is called "Because of Jesus." It is a study on Proverbs 31. I actually know the author. She is my sister but that is not why I am suggesting it. It really is just awesome! I think you would enjoy it. Just a suggestion though. Hope you find something that you like that helps you to stay in the Word while Bible study is off for March. :)

The bows in her hair are so cute!! She definitely is sensitive but that's ok!! She'll be a great player!!

We did a study in my SS class called the Prodigal God and it was really good! I think it would be a good study to do on your own.

Her bows are adorable! :)

I think any beth moore study would be a good one! I love "Believing God" - lots of personal study time and so worth it!
