I wanted to title this post, "Well, poop!" because that's about how I feel right now!
Seriously, it could be so much worse and this is really nothing to complain about, but I'm pretty sure Lily might have the chicken pox.
When she got sick the other day, she had a bump on her cheek. I didn't think too much of it though. Then yesterday, she showed me this little blister/pimple like bump on her knuckle. We put medicine on it and a bandaid......all better, right?!
Well, this morning she wakes up and I'm hugging her and loving on her and I look at her hand and she has all these little red bumps. I start inspecting, and she has them on both hands, some on her arms, one on her belly, and several around her mouth.
Boo!!
She has an appointment at 2pm, the only time they had. For those who know me well, you know I don't do dr. appts very well at all. Morgan said he would take her, since I have to pick up the girls at 3, but I just feel so bad for asking him to do that. I know he is swamped at work and super busy with the church and exhausted on top of all of that. And Kaylee has a game tonight that I'll have to miss if she does have chicken pox. And this weekend was supposed to be "shop for Easter dresses" weekend.
Boo hoo for me, right?! Okay, enough whining. Let's just hope it clears up in time for Easter Sunday, the first Easter in our new church. Madison had chicken pox when she was 5, even after being vaccinated. Evidently, the vaccine doesn't work, because Lily is current on hers too! Boo, boo, boo!
Okay, on to someone who actually does need some prayers right now......
Can y'all please say a prayer for my best buddy, Jennifer? Thank you so much!!!

Oh no! I sure do hope that it is not chicken pox! Maybe it is just some random little rash that will be gone by 2pm?! HA, I hope so! I will pray for your friend! I hope that y'all have a great, chicken pox free weekend!
oh no! Poor thing! I hope she feels better soon! Well, poop is right! haha :)
oh man. no fun. you have a right to say boo. i say boo too. i had the chicken pox twice. my sister and both had two small cases at the same time. praying for jennifer and you!
What a bummer. I forgot to tell you I'd for sure be praying for Jennifer too! What a way to start the weekend, huh?
Oh, boo! Poor Lily...and poor you too! It's hard work being a mom. We decided the vaccine was pointless too, but we also delay vaccines. Hope she's better soon.
I'm so sorry! The chicken pox are no fun at all for both child and mom.
Hope she gets better soon.
Poor Lily! So very sorry! Hope she feels better soon! And noone else catches it!?!?!?
Oh Kristin - not fun! You know, most kids who get the chicken pox vaccination still get chicken pox. I know they doctors like to claim you are immune from all the viruses and diseases you get vaccinated from - but all those do is try to help boost your immunity to help fight them off better.
Us 3 kids got the pox and we were all vaccinated!
Warm bath, baking soda, lots of love! If it has already started, she should be good for Easter - but not sure how long they like kids to stay away from others once it's started! You should be able to enjoy Easter in your new church this year!
Let us know! Also lifting your friend Jennifer up!
Oh no on the POX. Hope she feels better. I got the pox when I was 19. Yep in college. Big fun. I worked at a preschool. Like 15 kids were out with the Pox too so I babysat and made money while their parents went to work. LOL
