We finally got into the Christmas spirit after our big snow (LOL!) and put up our tree yesterday. As usual, Morgan put the tree and lights up and then I let the girls put the ornaments on. I helped by filling in up top.
I ordered this ornament last year and I love it. I always try to put it up top in the front.

This was the best one I could get of them all looking and smiling at the same time. You should've seen some of the outtakes!

Too bad this one was before the ornaments were put on!

Kaylee always has the cutest smiles.

This was Lily jumping for joy.

And Madison's angelic look :) I gave her another haircut and she was really happy about it because it is much shorter than she's ever had. I must say it turned out cute! :D We had beauty shop day over here before we decorated the tree. Even Kaylee got a trim.

Here's the finished product. I thought the girls did SO good on it! All of our ornaments are from our childhood, are special personalized ones (like Baby's first Christmas, etc), are special ones that our loved ones have bought us each year, or are ones the girls have made. I usually try to buy a few each year that have special meaning for that particular year too. This year, I bought a pretty silver cross one, because this is the year that the Lord has made so amazing for us! We've finally gotten to where we have enough special ones that we don't have to use the filler ones anymore. Every single ornament holds special meaning on our tree and the memories are wonderful every time we decorate it! I even have a few that I made when I was a little girl that have survived! And Morgan has one from when he was in Cub Scouts.

We are finally getting a little collection of Christmas decorations. Most of these were given to us by my Stepmom. The girls love them because they all sing and play music and dance around. The little ornaments hanging down with the girls pictures in them were ones they made a few weeks ago when Morgan's Aunt Karen (Aunt KK to the girls) came over to keep them for us when we went to a company dinner. She brought that fun craft project to work on and they loved it!

I turned on those XM music channels you can get on satellite to see if we could listen to Christmas music, but the girls didn't really like what they were playing, so we turned it on the Disney Kids XM music channel. Sure enough, when "Party in the USA" came on, they broke out into a dance and I grabbed my little camera that takes video.
Yep, that's how we celebrate Christmas here in Texas! :D
I'll do a separate post in a few minutes with my church lesson and another cool thing that happened yesterday.

Love the tree! I bought an ornament at Micheals yesterday for our family ornament, and I am going to write our names on it. I was excited :) Love the video!
I love the fact that you have personalize, meaningful ornaments. Don't really have any except one or two. I just got me second tree up today. WHOO HOOO!
The girls did a great job and I just love them singing and dancing. So carefree!!
Is there anything cuter than our kids dancing???
Tree is great. Thanks for giving me the height. It looks huge! They did good!!!!!
HOW CUTE! The tree and decorations all look sooo great. Those girls you have are so pretty and are so much fun. I just know that you all have a blast!
Love the video! Alyssa just woke up and she ran to the computer when she heard the music from your video playing. I'm sure she's gonna go around singing that song now!
Seeing your girls have so much fun makes me want mine to get bigger so that they can do fun stuff like that, but I must remind myself not to rush things. Time aready goes too fast as it is!
Forgot to tell you earlier that yesterday I felt baby girl kicking so much! It was like a straight hour and a half of kick, kick, kicks. It was so cool!
Your tree looks beautiful! I am sure the girls loved putting the ornaments on. I always get my kids a new ornament every year and they each have their own box of ornaments, so after the lights go on, it is their turn to decorate it with their ornaments. You can imagine that about this time in our lives it is getting harder and harder to find the room to fit them all on the tree. But that is the fun part, trying to find the last few empty spots on the tree to fill up with ornaments. I do not know what we are going to do in a few years. We are going to have to get a twelve foot tree I think. But then it would not fit in our house. LOL
I loved the pictures and the video of the girls. What wonderful life you have in your home! ENJOY every minute!! :)
lol! That vid is just too awesome for words. :D And the pics are really cute too! Your tree is beautiful. I'm so glad you guys got snow! That must have been so fun for the girlies! ^_^
