There are no words

I'm not even sure what to say tonight. I got home, checked facebook, and heard the news that my friend's Mom that you've all been praying for passed away this afternoon. I've spent so much time reflecting this week on losing my own Mom and then to hear about a friend losing her Mom to the same exact thing exactly five years later just breaks my heart.

If anyone should be able to know what to say, to understand, it should be me, still there just are no words on earth that will comfort someone who has just suffered such a loss. I know, because I was there and nothing that anyone can say or do helps.

The only thing I know for sure is that I can pray and I can ask you to do the same. I was not close to Melissa, but from what I've read, today was her brother's birthday and Friday is her birthday and they just both lost their mom. Please join me in praying for them in the days, weeks, and months to come.

Oh how sad. I am so sorry for them,...and for all who were close to her. I will pray.

My heart goes out to you too sweetie as your heart has already been aching lately as you have been thinking of your mom and her recent birthday.

You have also been re-living things by posting the adoption story, and remembering your mom's passing away just five years ago.

We are coming up on the 5th anniversary of losing Anna too, and it doesn't seem possible. But time does pass whether we want it to or not. Life is so hard sometimes. It is hard to understand,...but we just have to live by faith and keep on trusting.

I know that words don't always help,..but when someone has experienced losses,...they do know what it is like. I was in my early thirties when I lost my mom. And I have lost many people that I loved very much. Death is experienced by everyone eventually, so if they haven't been through it they will at some point.

God does have a reason for what He allows into our lives. He has a purpose and a plan. We just have to surrender our pain to Him and cry out to Him for HELP. He will give us what we need to get through. He loves us so much.

Oh, I got the book One Month To Live at the Library today. I am looking forward to reading it.

Have you read the book called Heaven by Randy Alcorn? It is good too.

Well sweetie I need to close.
Sleep well,...rest in the Lord.

I love you,
Linda

I'm sorry, Kristin. I would pray that they have the peace that passes all understanding at this time. What a sad time for their family. May all the prayers out there for them bring them much needed strength.

That is just so sad and you are right...nothing you can say or do can help at this time. But just knowing you are there if she needs to talk or cry is a huge help. Pray and be there for her. I am praying for them now. So sorry.
