Today, when we got into the parking lot at church, everyone was standing outside and the fire alarm lights were going off. Luckily, they started letting everyone back in as we were walking up to the door. We meet at a Golf Course's rec center, and they have an eating area inside, and I'm not sure what happened, but it smelled all burnt in there, so someone must have burned something and caused the alarms to go off. At least there was no fire.
We also were bringing diapers for a diaper shower for an expectant Mommy that goes to our church today, and it was funny because she couldn't make it........
because she delivered her baby girl, Isabella, this morning around 8am. Isn't that funny?!
We had a different music guy today, because ours went on vacation, and he had an awesome voice and played his guitar beautifully. Our regular guy is really awesome too, it was just neat to hear someone else play and sing.
Our sermon today was about how God's love never changes. There is nothing that we can do to make God love us any more or less. His love is perfect for us. We tend to treat God as a transaction. We think that we'll do things for Him and then he will give back to us. But, that's the wrong motive to have. Our relationship with Him should not be a bargaining if/then relationship. God's love is like a thermostat; it stays the same and doesn't change. Our response to His love is to love Him back and follow Him.
There are people everywhere that are searching for something to fill the void in their lives, but they won't find what they're looking for anywhere else. Our job is to help them find Him. Jesus died for the worst of the worst. "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:6-8. Ephesians 2:1-5 says that we were dead in our sins and it was only by grace that we were saved. Our Pastor illustrated this by asking us if we had ever seen a dead person resuscitate themselves. He asked if we had ever seen a dead person perform CPR on themselves. LOL! There is nothing that we could ever do to be good enough to save ourselves from our sins. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16
Update on my neighbor Lani: She has 2nd degree burns and will most likely be in the hospital for about a week. Thank you so much for your prayers!

I'm thankful your neighbor Lani's burns were only 2nd degree. It could've been so much worse!!
That's funny the expectant mommy couldn't make it b/c she delivered! :)
I am so glad to hear about your neighbor Lani being Ok! That is wonderful! I loved the notes on your sermon from yesterday. It sounded like a great one. Knowing God's unconditional love and acceptance more and more is what living for and with Him is all about.
Great uplifting post!

Sounds like a great message from church yesterday. We didn't end up making it after all, so I guess we just need some prayer because this was our second week in a row of not going to church!
Praise God for the good report on Lani! That's so cool that the momma delivered yesterday morning and couldn't make it to church!
Good thing about your neighbor! I love the lady having her baby! Isn't God's love amazing!
