Who Needs a Playground?

Not my girls! Just give them a pile of sand and they'll be happy all day long!
Kaylee came up with this idea all on her own.....
She made me a Starbucks coffee! LOL!
Looks like a frapuccino to me! Ha!
Yesterday, Kaylee told me to come look at what she drew.
It was a portrait of me and it says "#1 Mom She is Great"
Isn't that so sweet?!!

And here is why we had a big pile of sand in our driveway......

Morgan is installing a sprinkler system in our yard. With 100 degree weather and no rain, it's almost a necessity if you want to have grass!

So, that's what we were up to today.

This week, I've been reading a lot. I read Lee Strobel's "The Case for Christ" and "The Case for Faith" and I watched the documentary on "The Case for Christ" also. They were really interesting, because I think the modern world is under the assumption that there is no historical evidence to back up the Bible's claims and that's just not true. There is so much hard evidence and even more circumstantial evidence that it really takes more faith to be an atheist than it does to believe in Christianity. I will have to do a separate post on this one day.

I just started "Crazy Love" by Francis Chan, which was suggested by my good blogging friend Kate. By the way, Kate could really use our prayers for her Stepdad Phil, who was just diagnosed with a brain tumor. I know she would be so greatful if you stopped by and said a prayer for her family.

Hope everyone has a safe and happy 4th of July tomorrow!!

Love the pics! I take it, it definitley feels like Summertime down there? Whew! It must be extremely hot...and I though 89 degree weather was hot. If my back/shoulders are RED down here, then I think if I went down to Texas smoke would be rising from them. Have a happy 4th! :0)

My neighbor was dumping sand into their yard and I thought they were crazy, lol. I'm not really sure how putting sand in the yard helps grass to grow, but they have grass now!! =)

Looks like fun!

Hey!!! I am finally getting on the computer after two days of being a good girl! I just had to come and check out what I've missed and see how your weekend was!

Looks like the girls had a great time playing and Kaylee's drawing was super cute!

You will have to let me know how Crazy Love is. I am starting The Shack this week after I finish with the hats. Kate suggested that I read Crazy Love also, so that will be my next read!
