Our Father's Day

Yesterday was a great Father's Day. We went to church, late as usual.....I'm going to have to start getting up earlier, or something. Anyhow, Lily didn't throw a fit when we dropped her off in the nursery, so I considered church a success! LOL!

We went out to eat lunch together afterwards, and that's always fun. Then we came home and relaxed for awhile until it was time to go eat dinner with my in-laws. And, who made her sweet little appearance at Grandma's house?

Miss Zoey, of course! Aunt Kristin was lovin' that! :) I got to hold her and feed her and change her diaper and rock her to sleep. She's getting so much bigger and has the cutest red hair. She smiled so big at each one of the girls today. As soon as they would say "Hi, Zoey!" she would just smile! She's starting to make cute little noises too. I can't believe she's already 2 months old!

The main reason the girls were so excited to go to Grandma's house today, besides seeing Zoey, was to go swimming. They've been asking since about April when it would be warm enough to go swimming! LOL!
Lily was not going to enter that water for anything today! Finally, before it was almost time to get out, she allowed Grandma to put her on the first step down, but that was as far as she would go.

I can't believe I went the entire Father's Day and didn't get a picture of Morgan and the girls. I didn't even think about it. Shame on me! In fact, when we were outside with the girls, he was inside finishing up dinner. I walked in and he jokingly asked me how he ended up having to make Father's Day dinner and I told him I was just wondering the same thing! LOL! He didn't mind though, because he loves to cook.

I love that about Morgan and I. We are always thinking the same thing. Right before he said that out loud about cooking, I had just finished thinking it in my head. I also love that he likes to cook, because if he didn't, we might starve.........or we'd be surviving off roast and spaghetti and tacos all the time because that's about all I like to make.

Morgan and I have practically grown up together. I was 18 when we started dating, he was 19. We have both had to learn a lot, about ourselves and each other, to make this work. Marriage is not easy just because you love each other. It doesn't always help either that we both like to be in control. Ha! But, this year we will be celebrating 10 years of marriage, and I know without a doubt that there is no one in this entire world that I would rather spend my life with, or who I would rather be the Father of my children. I am proud of the life that we have built together and I pray that it only gets better and better.

Hi Kristin,
Ya know,...you always look extremely happy when you are holding that little baby girl!!! Does that tell ya anything? (smile)

It sounds like you had another great Sunday. Is Sunday becoming your favorite day? I love Sundays!

It looks like you all had fun at Grandma's house, and the girls with their swimming! You are blessed with a wonderful family,...including in-laws.

It is nice that Morgan likes to cook. I think you have a gem of a husband. (smile)

But then he has a lovely and godly wife,...so that is a blessing for him,...plus his three precious girlies.

Speaking of girlies,...I need to go wake up my two little granddaughters and get them going so they can make Vacation Bible School on time.

Love you,
Linda

I am so glad you had a great day together! Don't worry, I didn't get any pics of Eric and Molly! Who did you listen to at One Prayer?

Congratulations on 10yrs. That is great. It's encouraging to see couples who have been married for a long time. Sadly enough, a friend of mine got married the same time I did, and she just finalized her 2nd divorce.

Don't feel too bad.. I didn't get a photo of my hubby with the kids either!! Eek! :(

Ahhh, how sweet, what a great day and congratulations on your anniversary! Mine is July 11th. I decided I am taking my hubbie out to eat rather than him take me! 18 years! :)

LOVE all the pictures! Especially the one with Zoey, I second the first section of what Linda had to say :)

It sounds like y'all had a fabulous day. I am glad that Lily seems to be doing better with the nursery. I hope that continues! Autumn does not like to go to "class" much neither.

Congrats on 10 years this year! It is quite obvious that what you and Morgan share is very special!

Hey! It's so funny because as I started reading your post, I got the pic of you guys with Zoey. I clicked on the picture and immediately thought to myself, does she have red hair? Then I got back to reading your post about how she's got the cutest red hair and I just had to laugh!

I was feeling a little bad for getting zero pics of the girls with Fernando on Father's Day but I just didn't get around to it. I had them in their cute little dresses for church but since we were late for church, there was no time for pictures. Then when we drove home from church, Audrey fell asleep in the car. After that everyone changed out of our church clothes and we never got a pic!

I was laughing about what you said about cooking tacos and spaghetti an roasts...that's my life. Just the other day Fernando was like, is there any way we can eat tacos a little less, and I was like, why?

Hope you have a good day! Love you lots!
