3 Days of Recital Fun!

Tonight was day 1 of recital rehearsals. Tomorrow night will be dress rehearsal and then Saturday will be the real recital. It's always three very long days, but always lots of fun too! This is the first year that I have 2 girls in recital, so between the two of them, they have 5 dances. I can't wait to get some video tomorrow night of them in full makeup and costumes. They are going to look so pretty. It is seriously hard for me not to cry when I watch them dance! It just touches my heart in ways I cannot describe.

Here are a few cute pics I took tonight.

Kaylee's tap dance song is "Kiss the Girl" from the Little Mermaid and they get to step through these lips and blow a kiss.......so adorable!!

I just liked this picture of Madison because neither one of her feet are touching the ground! LOL! This was her hip hop/jazz dance, "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun." Oh, how I love that song! It's the Miley Cyrus version.

Another fun thing that happened tonight was one of the dance songs was "Boot Scootin' Boogie." I smiled when I heard it, because I remember my Mom talking fondly about how her Mother (my MeMe) loved that song. My MeMe and Pop used to go dancing and would dance to that song. Every time I hear it, it makes me think of her.

There was also this really cool dance that the teens did in the dark, with glow-in-the-dark masks and gloves. It was so neat to be able to only see the masks and gloves moving! I so wish I could've gotten a good picture of it to show y'all!

I have no idea how to take the DVD's I will record tomorrow off of my video camera and post them to youtube. If I can figure it out, I will definitely post a video or two later! I would love for y'all to see my girls' dances. I am so proud of them!!
