Oh my goodness! I have so much to talk about today! I hope I don't bore y'all to death!
Today, we all went to church as a family again. We were late, but better late than never, right?!
The service was awesome, as usual. We sang "I Can Only Imagine", which I LOVED! It was appropriate since the service was about Heaven today. We talked about some of the things that Satan tries to convince people, like that Heaven can wait and that most people are going to Heaven. For every 1 person that says they are going to Hell, there are 120 who believe they are going to Heaven. However, the Bible says in Matthew 7:13-14 that "wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it."
Our Pastor tried to give us a glimpse into Heaven, and what it will be like, but he explained to us that there are just no words to accurately describe how magnificent it will be! Think of the best thing that has ever happened in your life......Heaven will be even better than that and it will last forever! "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him" 1 Corinthians 2:9 For believers, even the best thing we can imagine will not come close to how wonderful Heaven is going to be! For non-believers, the best thing that's ever happened in their life will be the closest they will ever come to Heaven.
We talked about the question, "Why would a loving God choose to create Hell?" Our Pastor explained this so simply. Without the choice, there would be no love. God didn't want to create robots who would follow Him. He wanted us to choose to love Him. He wanted it to be our choice to follow Him. That is the only way that we could truly love Him. By giving us the choice, we are free to love Him or to not love Him. If we choose to reject Him, then we make the choice to be eternally separated from Him in Hell. Satan will try to convince us that Hell isn't all that bad, but everything good comes from God. As hard as it is to imagine how wonderful Heaven will be, I think it is equally hard to conceive how utterly horrible Hell would be.
After the service, I died laughing because Kaylee was showing me her picture that she drew of me. In the picture, I was holding a "Twilight" book! Is that not the funniest thing?! LOL We all went out to eat and used some gift cards that we had gotten for Christmas, so that was nice! After lunch, I had agreed to take the girls to Target to get new swimsuits. I was informed by them that if I did that, I could go to Starbucks afterwards as my reward! Ha!
Y'all will never believe what happened at Target!!!! Lily was running around the corner and she almost ran into a lady's shopping cart and I told her that she was about to get run over and I smiled and said "excuse us!" Well, a few seconds later, someone said "Kristin?" I turned around and these two ladies came up to me and said "we are fans of your blog!" I about died! I left a comment the other day on Christy's blog because I found out she lives in Baytown too, and because of that, I made a friend named Dana who also lives here in Baytown (but doesn't have a blog) and we've been emailing each other back and forth. That was the lady that Lily almost ran in to!!! Can you believe that?!! Her friend, Roberta, was with her and she's the one that recognized me from my blog! Ha! Roberta lives right down the road from me. I never would've known who they were because I had only met Dana online and had never seen a picture of her! We talked for a few minutes and said we will all have to go have lunch one day. That just made my day! I just could not believe that God would orchestrate for us to run into each other at Target! Isn't God absolutely amazing?!! So, if y'all are reading this.......Hi Dana and Roberta! It was so great to meet y'all today!!
By the way, I totally went to Starbucks for my reward afterwards!
It was just another awesome day, filled with moments that made me even more aware of how awesome life is and how much life is worth living when you love the Lord! When you make that choice to dedicate your life to Him, or rededicate it (like I did), He will prove to you in ways every single day just how much He loves you too!

Kristin,
That is amazing! I love the part about Target - and of course - about the Twilight book! That is too funny!
A librarian also told me about the book from Edwards' view point - she said it was great and recommended that I get it too.
That is very interesting about Heaven and Hell. When I think about Hell I think of a place that is void of EVERYTHING that is GOOD. It's hard to wrap my mind around it - but I know it is not somewhere I want ANYONE to go!
That is so awesome that you had such a great God-driven day. I love those days when you just feel euphoric because of what God is doing in your life. I wish I had that attitude everyday, but I am working on it. You really do have a great blog. I love it!
Kristin,...Last night Lynnette and I were talking about the various posts you have had on your blog and how interesting each story has been. I know that you think you would be "boring in person",...but I totally disagree. You are a very interesting person.
I loved your post about how you ran into blogging friends at Target!
That is so amazing. But then God has been showing you how special you are and how much He loves you, ever since you came back to the Lord! Nothing should really surprise us,...because He does love us,...and He is in control.
I am so happy that each Sunday you are going to church as a family. I am sooo glad that Morgan is going with you. (Answered prayers)
I watched Twilight. I guess I just wanted to be in the know about what was going on with all the talk about it! Ha!
Thanks for being such an open and honest person,...and for sharing your love for Jesus in your blog posts. People need to think about heaven and hell,...so good job of posting about them.
I wish I could run into you at Target and give you a hug! (smile)
Love, Linda
It sounds like y'all had an amazing church service yesterday. I am glad that once again y'all attended as a family.
That is hilarious about Target! Especially since Lily was about to run right into them. Of course you know that I love the picture of you with a Twilight book. Oh, Twilight!
Kristin,
I SO look forward to the day I will be walking the "streets of gold" and seeing my Savior face to face all the time. Our pastor did a sermon about hell a few weeks ago and it was SO convicting to me that there are so many people I know and love who don't fully understand what hell really is. I have so many unsaved family (including my parents and siblings) and friends...and can't bear to imagine them spending eternity in hell. It makes me so sad... and reminds me all the more why I need to pray and be a constant witness to them.
And what a funny story about your trip to Target - CRAZY! I think I'd have to take a picture if that ever happened to me, cuz I don't think I'd believe it after the fact! ;)
By the way, I posted a fun blogging award for you on my blog - check it out!

Hi there!
Please forgive me for being MIA in the comments department lately. The good news is that I'm back. I have a ton of things to get caught up on today, expecially when it comes to blogging!
I am so glad that church went so well. Sounds like the message was awesome. As a matter of fact, I kinda feel like I heard the sermon with you by the way you described everything! It will give me something to think about considering that I wasn't able to go to church yesterday.
That is too funny that Lily's pic of you had you reading a Twilight book. That's comedy!
I am so glad that you ran into Dana and Roberta. How cool is that!
That was so sweet of the girls to "let you" go to Starbucks as your reward! Too funny!
Hope you have a great day and talk to you soon!
Oh my gosh your famous! I totally want to see a picture of you holding the Twilight book. You never know maybe one day I will move to TX and we can hang out. I wish I could pick all my friends from all over and move them all on my block. That is to cute about the fans you have. Also so glad church is going well, I'm happy for you and your fam (:
