Freshly Brewed and Another Cutie

Y'all know how much I love Starbucks, right?! So, in honor of my favorite "coffee shop" (as my girls like to call it), I made a snap tee for newborns that says "freshly brewed." It even has green stitching to match the famous Starbucks logo. LOL!

I have been agonizing over the best way to do these shirts. I have always machine stitched my appliques in the past, but I never did tiny lettering in the past. When I started trying to machine stitch around these tiny letters, on tiny shirts, it just wasn't turning out as well as I would like. So, I have officially decided to hand stitch the letters on my shirts.

I am incredibly excited about the unlimited design possibilities in doing the baby shirts and onesies with the letter appliques! They really are going to be unique and one-of-a-kind. Each one truly is a labor of love with hours of work put into every single one. This is where my heart has always been..........to create sweet baby gifts with lots of love put into every creation.

Eventually, I plan to make custom orders available on select designs in bigger sizes, but for now, my hope really is to focus on creating a boutique that offers unique, one-of-a-kind baby gifts, as well as hair accessories.

Speaking of hair accessories...........
Isn't Miss Lauren the most beautiful Summer Suzette Cutie you have ever seen?!!
Lauren is my sweet blogging friend Katie's daughter. I think Lauren looks just like a little doll!

So precious!! Thank you Katie (and Lauren) for these beautiful pictures!

I *love* this shirt--how cute! I'll have to keep this one in mind for baby showers.

And Lauren looks just precious in her little bows!

I've appliqued some shirts for my kids before and I know how HARD it is to machine sew around the little details! I'm not a very fast hand stitcher, either, so it was not easy! But you're right that all your shirts will be so unique!

Have you thought about hosting your shop on etsy, too? Etsy is great b/c it gets your product out there and visible to thousands of other moms. I've always wanted to have a little etsy store--but I just don't have the time to make the things I want to make right now--maybe one day ^_^

I definitely want to start interviewing all of the moms I know (including you) who have businesses! I'm thinking I might try to feature one a week.

Good morning!

I am headed over to email you soon but I just wanted to say hi really quick. I LOVE this little tee. It is soooo cute! So cool how you made the colors to match the Starbucks colors!

Well, I'm trying to be Susie Homemaker today so wish me luck. I've got two loaves of banana break in the oven, and I've got my To-do list for today all ready. Wish me luck! Talk to you soon!

As I said before, I'm glad it's you doing the sewing and such and not me. I'll stick with blogging. hee hee

Can't wait to see all of your cute designs.
