Tonight, we had a moment.
I got my first digital camera in May of 2003, right before K was born.
I got my laptop last year. So, all of the pictures from before I got my laptop were stuck on my old computer that was not even plugged in anymore.
Morgan put them on a hard drive that I can plug into my laptop and view the pictures.
So, all 5 of us stood in the kitchen earlier tonight, at Morgan's laptop, looking at all of our family pictures from 2003 - 2008.
We laughed and laughed, and the girls were so amazed to see themselves as little babies. We were amazed that we could hardly tell K and L apart! We remembered what it was like for L to be an infant and we realized how fast time has went by.
We watched as our family went from having one little girl, to two, then three. We saw just how much they all look alike. We viewed little videos and saw how their mannerisms are all the same, how they still have the same expressions now that they had as babies, and I watched as their faces lit up to remember what it was like to be "the baby."
It was a precious family moment, as we looked back on our little girls' lives and realized just how far they've come and how much time has passed and how fast it went by. I cherish every moment that I've had with them and I thank God for allowing me to be their Momma. What a beautiful gift He has given me. What a beautiful family Morgan and I have created together, simply because we loved each other. There's just no greater gift than family.
P.S. I warned Morgan that looking at all these sweet pictures and videos of our babies was going to be dangerous! And in a week or so, we will be welcoming our new little niece into the family too. Oh my, do I dare even think those thoughts? We were so certain that our family was complete. Only God knows the plans He has for us!

That's awesome! I can picture your little darlings giggling as they look through the pictures. How sweet. It's fun to do that. Last year my son graduated 8th grade and this year our daughter is graduating high school... we've had to pull old photos out for different things. (this was before the days of digital, so we have a gazillion little albums and loose pix) but we all sat around the living room passing the photos and laughing as we remembered the moments that had been captured. It is fun to do once in a while. If I didn't get motion sickness from watching my own home videos, we'd probably pull those out more often too. ha ha.
Hmm... another little one? Yup, only God knows the plan on that one, you never can tell - maybe a little boy is in your future. Doesn't every family of little girls need a brother to torment them? ;) ha ha. Your family is precious, Kristin.
I found your blog through a friends one. You write really beautifully and with great feeling and honesty.
We recently plugged in an old laptop for my daughter to use for her school assignment and found lots of old photos and video clips of our kids from about 3 years ago. We laughed so hard as we watched them and the memories camo flooding back. The only difference with me is that I was NOT clucky for another baby afterwards!
Three kids and a husband keep me run off my feet and I just don't think I would have the energy for another little one!
Good luck with what you decide. And keep up the writing on your lovely blog.
Gina
Sounds like such a sweet moment. I could almost picture you all standing around looking at past photos and laughing amongst each other. What a blessing!
And girl, what's this I sense of another baby......hmmmmmm...keep us posted. lol!
That's such a sweet family moment! Peanut loves to sit in my lap and look at all my pictures on the computer, and it already blows my mind how fast time went by. And now I am fully convinced that when it comes to your kids there is no such thing as "too many pictures"
found your blog from Kelly's Korner. Your girls are adorable. And so is your blog. Keep making happy moments for your family. Your love and sweetness are inspiring. :)
