You gotta love Christmastime in Texas!
Two days ago, it was 75 degrees. Tonight, the sleet and even a few snow flurries are falling!
This is a big deal here in SE Texas! The last time we got snow was in 2004, and before that, it was like 1989!
When we decorated the Christmas tree this past weekend, the girls came down wanting to wear their Summer clothes because it was hot outside. I told them couldn't they please at least wear something that looked sorta like winter, for pictures, you know? So we could at least pretend?!
My poor little chihuahua, Bella, was about to shiver to death this morning when I took her outside. She was looking at me like, "what in the world is going on?"
UPDATE:
It has been snowing now for over 2 hours! Like not just a few flakes, like coming down a lot! This is almost unheard of where we live, near Galveston Bay! We let the girls get bundled up and go play outside for awhile. They were giggling their heads off. They had an absolute blast! It truly is a once in a lifetime thing for them. There is about 4 inches piled up outside. I will post pics soon!
WHAT AN EXCITING NIGHT!

Yes I am afraid the snow will be gone tomorrow.. oh well--at least I got a few pictures!
Oh wow! And here we live in MN where snow is such commonplace many, many months every year! I actually love it but get very tired of it by about March or April...or May when it refuses to give up its hold on us!
I hope you all (or should I say "y'all"?) :) enjoyed it! We finally got our first dumping and our girls are just thrilled to have their snowpants, hats, boots, mittens and scarves as the regular outerwear on the entry hooks. I should post a pic of our entryway in the afternoons after school or after playing in the snow!
